Unstoppable
Every day, our students astound us with their intellect, strength, and never-say-die spirit. They are, in a word, unstoppable.
As the only women’s Catholic university in the western United States—and the only women’s university in Los Angeles—Mount Saint Mary’s University provides a values-based education to propel you toward the life you’ve imagined.
Academics
Students can choose from more than 30 majors and nearly 50 minors, study abroad, participate in research with faculty, and pursue other experiential learning opportunities that complement their classroom studies.
A Mount education means students will learn to both understand their major in depth and develop a broad understanding of how it affects society. Our mission is to develop leaders and critical thinkers equipped with the necessary tools to succeed in our ever-changing and multifaceted world.
Location
Mount Saint Mary’s is unique in that it offers two beautiful campuses to explore and consider. The Chalon Campus, perched in the hills overlooking Santa Monica, is our traditional, residential undergraduate campus. Our Doheny Campus, situated on peaceful grounds just south of downtown LA, houses a broad range of undergraduate, graduate, and educational credential programs.
Both settings immerse students in small, safe communities that are close to a major business district, entertainment venues, beaches, mountains, and much more. Few institutions can expose students to the types of experiences offered by the vibrant and diverse learning lab of Los Angeles.
Affordable advantages
The Mount Saint Mary’s advantage is about providing students with an abundance of opportunities at an affordable price. Our generous financial aid packages combined with merit scholarships make us a competitive option for families that are searching for the right school. Our goal is to provide students with all the advantages of a small private institution but at a cost that’s realistic in today’s changing economy.
