Fun Facts

  • Just imagine: dinner by candlelight...with your history professor. Students and faculty at Scripps College share Candlelight Dinners four times a year (and have done so in some fashion since 1927!) to foster a sense of community.
  • Since 1931, the genteel students of Scripps College have gathered for Afternoon Tea and refreshments every Wednesday afternoon while school is in session.
  • You gotta feel for the students in Clark Hall at Scripps College. It's said to be haunted by multiple spirits, and students have experienced moved objects, darting shadows, and even the occasional ghost stopping by to say hello!
  • Many students at Scripps College have reported seeing multiple campus ghosts, including a woman in white who some think is the spirit of a former student dressed up for the school's annual holiday Medieval dinner.
