The Creighton Experience
Creighton University is a top-ranked national Jesuit, Catholic university committed to education that provides intellectual challenge and promotes critical thinking while inspiring leadership and service to others. Creighton’s comprehensive undergraduate and professional academics have contributed to our national reputation for educational excellence, drawing students from across the country and around the world.
Creighton has small class sizes, accomplished faculty mentors, and plentiful internships.
Our 99% success rate means students are employed, attending graduate school or volunteering within six months of graduation.
With over 8,000 students, 60+ undergraduate majors, and 45+ graduate/professional programs in nine colleges—including dentistry, law, medicine, and more—we offer unmatched interdisciplinary opportunities all on one campus.
In addition to the Omaha campus, Creighton delivers a vast array of online programs and is expanding medical and health sciences opportunities to a new Phoenix campus. We are approaching 900 Medical, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, and Physician Assistant students.
Creighton is known for its undergraduate research, with 44% of undergraduate students participating in research that results in hundreds of national and international presentations each year. We’re the #1 Catholic university and among the top 25 private institutions producing Goldwater Scholars over the past 19 years. We are often recognized for being a leading producer of Fulbright Scholars.
Not all learning takes place in the classroom or lab. With four Fortune 500 company headquarters located in Omaha, Creighton business students find more paid internship opportunities than there are people to fill them. They find life-changing experiences through community service opportunities, volunteer service hours each year, and international exposure through many study abroad programs.

Over half of our students come to Creighton to pursue a professional degree. All students have access to intentional pre-professional advising and support. In addition, we’ve created the Creighton Pre-Professional Scholars Program (CPPSP), the country’s most comprehensive, intentional pre-professional advising and guarantee program. It ensures that students who meet specific requirements are accepted into a professional program after graduation. CPPSP allows qualifying students to participate in our extraordinary guarantee programs in Dentistry, Law, Medicine, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, or Physical Therapy. Each CPPSP program has an individual application with requirements specific to that program.
