Hofstra offers robust programs in health sciences, health education, and medicine through the School of Health Professions and Human Services (HPHS), Hofstra Northwell School of Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies, the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, and the School of Education.
School of Health Sciences (SHS)
Hofstra's School of Health Sciences (SHS) prepares students to serve as culturally competent health professionals. Offering bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees, as well as advanced certificates, across various departments, SHS equips graduates to advocate for and support diverse communities.
Undergraduate degrees include a BS in Community Health, BS in Exercise Physiology, BS in Health Science, and BA in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences.

Hofstra Northwell School of Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies
The Hofstra Northwell School of Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies offers programs ranging from a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nursing to a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), as well as advanced certificates. The school also offers an MS in Physician Assistant Studies and an MS in Cardiovascular Sciences and Perfusion Medicine.
DNP programs includes tracks in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP), Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP)/Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell
The Zucker School of Medicine offers a fully integrated science and clinical MD curriculum that allows students to apply medical science to the care of patients from the beginning of their medical education and throughout their educational program.
The school also offers a PhD in the Molecular Basis of Medicine, either alone or as part of an MD/PhD program, in which students also complete the MD curriculum. Students may also consider the Hofstra 4+4 program: BS-BA/MD, which is open only to high-achieving high school students who apply to Hofstra as first-time, full-time students.

Additionally, the School of Education offers a BSEd in Physical Education, an MS in Health Education, and an MS in Physical Education, as well as a dual-degree (BS/MS) program and dual certification in Health and Physical Education.
