Tips That Will Help You to Stay Motivated With Your Blog

Sometimes, a blogger may lose blogging motivation. This is very normal.

It takes a lot to run a successful blog. There are times that you will feel like you are not getting the results you desire and deserve.

You might get panicky that you are losing your mojo. Good news is that you haven't. At that moment that you need to search for motivation. Keep yourself fixated on your short term or long term blogging goals. Dust yourself and surge ahead.

I will share tips on how to stay motivated with your blog. I find them in one essay on motivation for students, but they work for bloggers as well.

1. Recall why you began blogging

There was something that inspired you to start blogging. You always need to keep that reason in mind. Did you come up with your blog because you wanted to:

  • Get traffic to your business?
  • Educate and help others?
  • Work from the comfort of your house and earn some extra income?
  • Establish a reputation in the cyberspace?
  • Once you have kept in mind the initials goals that lured you into blogging, it will keep you motivated. For that reason, you will continue to write.

If you identify the steps you need to take to achieve your long-term goals, you will be able to work towards them.

Why did you commence blogging and what can you do to help you get there?

    2. Look at other bloggers from whom you draw inspiration

There are successful bloggers from whom you draw inspiration. How do you think they got there? Of course, they broke the glass ceiling by focusing on their goals. They never allowed demotivation to get in the way of achieving their goals. These bloggers worked extra hard and had to overcome many obstacles to get to where they are today. You can also follow the same script.

    3. Create and schedule that helps you avoid burning out.

Working extensively for many hours nonstop without regular breaks is the fastest way of burning yourself out. That's not recommended. Try to create a schedule for blogging and try to balance the blogging with other elements of your life.

If you are aware of what you want, your desire to accomplish, it will be easier to create a schedule. A schedule will act as a reminder to you, and that will keep you going. Find the best plan that works for you. You could opt to work during the day or at night.

    4. Get ways to promote your blog.

When you are not getting the desired results, you are likely to get demotivated. Motivation is hinged on getting the blogging results you yearn.

Here are effective ways of promoting your blog posts:

  • Write quality content
  • Choose your titles wisely
  • Check for grammatical errors
  • Start with loyal followers
  • Use P Interest to drive consistent and reliable traffic to your blog
  • Pay close attention to search engine optimization
  • Join social media groups and share your work there
  • Respond to questions and build a reputation on Quora
  • Make use of Instagram hashtags and your bio link to engage your audience
  • Schedule automatic posts on social media
  • Add sharing buttons to your posts
  • Add hyperlinks to your other posts
  • Use flip boards to curate your posts
  • Network with other bloggers in your niche
  • Collect subscribers and push out newsletters
  • 5. Keep moving

Change blogging spots to avoid mental and physical draining. You can step outside and get some fresh air. It will help you stay motivated.

You can also try a different working space. You could move to the library, café or other public spaces that have Wi-Fi. Continuously look for new areas to work from. That way you will stay motivated to write.

    6. Make friends, keep each other accountable.

Get blogging friends or enthusiasts who keep pushing you to be the better version of yourself. When you see them working hard, you will be pushed to do the same, even when you do not feel like doing anything.

It is equally important to have people around that you can talk to when you are struggling with something. It will be nice to get these things off your chest to help you get back to what you love doing.

To get friends in your blogging niche, join social media groups on Facebook, Gab, Whisper among others and reach out to people. On social media, you can engage with a lot of people, create conversations and make a lot of friends. This will keep you motivated as a blogger and encourage to write even more.

Ultimately, getting your blogging motivation is very important. You can become the blogger you aspire to be if you stay motivated.
